If your metal posts have been set in buried concrete it s best to pull the concrete out with the each post and with mechanical help you can avoid excessive digging.
I m curious if i can make the post slide in an out of the hole with just enough give to be removable but tight enough to minimize looseness and sway to ease pole replacement as the wood wears out every several years.
Move and adjust the post if you need to until it sits plumb.
If you can have someone hold the post while you pour the concrete so your post doesn t move around.
Once your concrete is in the hole use your two sided post level to make sure your post is straight.
The concrete should fill about to of the barrel to provide enough stability for the posts.
