Removing bathroom countertop.

The backsplash is attached to the wall and countertop. Remove everything from the countertop and drawers. It is important for the space where you ll be working to be clear when you begin the removal process. Remove everything out of the drawers and in the cabinets underneath the countertops.

But you have recently noticed some yellow stains on your normally white bathroom counters. Different countertop materials have unique care needs. Place a drip pan beneath the hoses to avoid making a mess. Make sure the water is turned off.

Remove screws underneath cabinet. The steps to removing your existing bathroom countertop are relatively straightforward. If your countertop is not held together with glue it s held in place by screws. To do this cut along the entire edge of silicone adhesive between the wall and backsplash using a razor knife.

Cleaning is a challenge. You will need to remove it before prying up the countertop. The stain is caused by using bleach to clean your countertop surfaces. Although the countertop may be glued down there are also screws holding the countertop in place.

Place all of the items in a safe location that is out of the way. Most if not all require cleaning supplies that remove dirt and soap film without scratching or damaging the finish. Gently lift off the counter top and bam no more 90 s countertop and faucet. If the old vanity is marble or granite it will not be screwed on.

You may need a wrench or pliers to accomplish this step. Start by cutting off water and disconnecting and removing old fixtures. You can make a birdbath out of the old sink if you want but the better idea is to donate it to your local habitat for humanity or architectural salvage store. Loosen or remove the caulk on the existing countertop.

All you have to do is remove the screws and gently lift the countertop to ensure that you don t damage the cabinets. You try to remove the yellow stains with more bleach but the stain remains. Disconnect the pipes and hoses from beneath the sink. Once you ve chosen the best countertop for your bathroom you ll need to care for it to keep it looking like new.

Take everything off of the countertops. You use a lot of bleach to get your bathroom counters clean and white.
