To remove the construction adhesives from your walls or floors gently scrape off the adhesive while you apply heat on the surface of your floor or wall.

After cutting a length of wire about 3 feet long you wrap it around your gloved fingers work it under the glue and use a sawing motion to separate the glue from the brick.
Some adhesives can be loosened using acetone.
Some paint strippers may work as well to loosen the construction adhesive to a point where the material can be removed without damage.
Use a razor blade or putty knife to scrape away any large clumps of pl400 construction adhesive.
But first test it on an out of the way spot to see if it will damage the material.
Do the scrapping only while the surface is hot.
Step 2 dampen a clean rag in mineral spirits paint thinner or caulk and adhesive remover.
Occasionally you may need to wipe away construction adhesive or separate two objects bonded with it such as two boards two bricks etc.
Most adhesives and caulks can be scraped off when they are softened.

Pry off the tack strips with a wonder bar and use a brick chisel 3 inches wide to remove the majority of the adhesive followed up with an angle grinder to remove the remaining residue and smooth the area.
