Rheem Furnace Pilot Light Goes Out

My pilot light is out on my rheem gas furnace and i cannot locate where the pilot light is at on the unit never seen it lit.

I have a 40 gallon rheem water heater. I am not familiar with this unit as it s in my leased apartment. The number one reason why the pilot light keeps going out is the thermocouple. If it s still not working it may be one of the problems above.

The pilot light went out so i went to relight it. You turn the thermostat up the furnace ignites and the burner comes on. The burner ignites but then goes out before heating up your home. This can happen on excessively windy days or nights.
